ABOUT DONNA WOLFSKEHL DISTEFANO
MSW LCSW LCADC
Donna is a Clinical Social Worker who provides psychotherapy via telehealth or in-person in Highland Park, New Jersey. Donna received her M.S.W. from New York University in 2000 and has 25 years of organizational work experience in various mental health and addiction treatment settings as well as her most recent Employee Assistance Program work providing counseling, risk and crisis intervention, training and coaching services.
Donna’s life-long passion for psychoanalytic work began at her Rutgers University undergraduate program where she began learning about psychoanalysis and Intersubjective Systems Theory through classes and then an Independent Study with George Atwood, Ph.D. George Atwood’s Intersubjective ideas incorporating the phenomenological branch of philosophy for viewing the role and interaction with patients had a lasting impact. She remained committed to this particularly forward-moving and open-minded thought towards people and mental health.
