What’s Mental Health Got To Do With It?

Since Sigmeund Freud, psychoanalytic involvment included the individual’s psyche-based ailments while commenting on human aggressions and discord. l explore human well-being as the techniques that have been used impact our relationships to ourselves, to our sense of right or wrong, and to relating to the rest of the world. Intersubjective Systems Theory, in particular, addresses the individual in a holistic manner and is essential to employ today.I connect common approaches and address why people may think the way they do. We can improve well-being of individuals and their connection to others and perspectives in our world today. Contemporary psychoanalytic approaches can be used to impact peoples’ relationships to themselves, to who they are, and to relating to the rest of the world.
Hey, What’s Goin’ On… In Patient Worlds?

Take a step-back from symptamotology and pathology to better understand trauma and what plays out in peoples’ lives. Contemporary psychoanalytic approaches impact peoples’ relationships to themselves, to who they are, and to their relating to the rest of the world. We can best improve well-being of individuals through their connection to others and perspectives that either connect them or keep them separated from the world.
Donna’s Bio:
Donna Wolfskehl DiStefano is a Clinical Social Worker in private practice in Highland Park and Princeton, NJ. Donna became acquainted with Intersubjective Systems Theory (IST) through George Atwood’s teachings at Rutgers University in the late 1990’s. She has 25 years working experience in various clinical social work settings and has been in private practice for 15 years. Donna has also been publishing and presenting internationally on IST’s understanding of individuals’ world-views and healing.
